This project is a custom fork of the Solar of Things Home Assistant integration originally built by Conexo Casa. It connects solar inverters to your local Home Assistant instance for comprehensive power monitoring and control.
Fork Additions
My fork extends the core integration to support additional inverter manufacturers and exposes more hardware telemetry:
- Hardware Support: Added full support for NEXT and POWMR solar inverters.
- Expanded Telemetry: Exposed new voltage and current readings that were missing from the original implementation.
- Improved Stability: Minor fixes to ensure a smoother experience with unsupported hardware signatures.
Integration Features
Real-Time Monitoring
- Solar PV power generation (Watts)
- Battery state of charge (%)
- Grid import & export power
- Home load consumption
Inverter Control
- Change output source priority (Solar/Utility/Battery)
- Adjust battery charging/discharging limits
- Toggle grid charging and feed-in permissions
Energy Dashboard Ready
The integration creates standard sensors that drop directly into the Home Assistant Energy Dashboard for beautiful daily, weekly, and monthly tracking.
Installation (HACS)
- Open HACS in the Home Assistant sidebar → Integrations.
